Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences and BTT Solutions GER GmbH from Berga signed a cooperation agreement on 2 September 2025. University President Prof Dr Jörg Wagner and Managing Director Gero Lange thus sealed a close collaboration between science and practice, which is intended to benefit students and companies alike.

Promoting young talent is a central pillar of BTT Solutions' corporate strategy. "Many of our experienced experts will be retiring in the coming years. It is therefore crucial for us to attract young people to our company at an early stage. By offering practical study programmes, we not only want to train them, but also give them the opportunity to further their academic development," emphasised Managing Director Gero Lange. The company also needs "fresh ideas" and wants to broaden its base with the co-operation - especially at the Berga site.

Prof. Dr Jörg Wagner emphasised the importance of such partnerships for the region: "Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences offers a broad portfolio of Bachelor's and Master's degree courses and is involved in numerous research projects. Our aim is to keep skilled workers in the region - which is why we are happy about every cooperation, especially with internationally orientated companies such as BTT Solutions. We are also pleased when partner companies draw attention to our study programmes at schools and secondary schools. After all, we are pursuing the same goal: to open up prospects for young people locally."

In future, the collaboration will open up even more opportunities for students to transfer their theoretical knowledge into practice and establish contacts with an innovative company at an early stage. At the same time, it strengthens the region's competitiveness by securing the urgently needed next generation of skilled labour.
