Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences and isoplus Fernwärmetechnik GmbH have signed a cooperation agreement that provides for close collaboration in the areas of research, teaching and practice. The agreement was signed by the President of the university, Prof Dr Jörg Wagner, and the Managing Director of isoplus Fernwärmetechnik GmbH, Alexander Langner.

The aim of the partnership is to provide students with practical insights into district heating technology and to initiate joint research projects. Plans include the development of innovative solutions for energy supply and the integration of sustainability aspects into the district heating supply.

Prof. Dr Jörg Wagner emphasised the importance of the cooperation: "With ISOPLUS, we have a strong partner at our side that not only has regional roots, but also sets international standards in district heating technology. Together, we can offer our students valuable practical experience and realise pioneering research projects."

Alexander Langner was also positive about the collaboration: "The cooperation with Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences opens up new opportunities for us to promote young talent at an early stage and work together on innovative solutions for a sustainable energy future. We are looking forward to the intensive dialogue and the joint projects."

The ISOPLUS Group is a leading European manufacturer of pre-insulated pipe systems, primarily for local and district heating supply, and has been supplying numerous customers with innovative and sustainable energy solutions for over 35 years. With around 1,600 employees and nine certified production sites, the group of companies is represented in over 30 countries. Headquartered in Sondershausen, Thuringia, isoplus Fernwärmetechnik GmbH employs around 500 people locally and over 700 in Germany. The company's strategy focuses on CO₂-neutral heat generation through district heating, with an increasing integration of renewable energy sources such as solar thermal energy, waste heat and biomass.

For Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, the partnership means a deepening of the practice-orientated education of its students as well as access to the latest developments and technologies in the field of district heating technology. isoplus Fernwärmetechnik GmbH benefits from the university's scientific expertise and the opportunity to put innovative research approaches directly into practice. Together, both partners contribute to the promotion of sustainable energy solutions and to strengthening the regional economy.

The cooperation was initiated by Thomas Füldner from the Transferwerk at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. The Transferwerk specifically supports partnerships such as the one with ISOPLUS in order to promote practical research and strengthen the exchange between science and industry.
