On 5 June, Prof. Dr Mariana Arantes Nasser (Universidade Federal de São Paulo and Universidade de São Paulo) presented care guidelines for the health of adolescents and young adults for the unified (state) health system (LCA&J) in the state of São Paulo (Brazil) at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences.
In addition to presenting the empirical forms of data collection and qualitative analysis, Professor Nasser also reported on the development of the guidelines, their implementation and the transfer to other regions of Brazil that is now taking place. Professor Nasser has been working on this for over 10 years with almost 30 other scientists; the Guidelines are published here.
Prof. Dr Petra J. Brzank and the Institute of Social Medicine, Rehabilitation Sciences and Health Services Research at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences extended the invitation to the university. Opportunities for future collaboration with the two Brazilian universities were subsequently initiated.
