"It's done, the key figures for Herrnhuter Diakonie are ready," says Prof Dr Bernd Schwien from the FHN. Katja Hoffmann and Manuela Hoffmann developed and presented their balanced scorecard for Herrnhuter Diakonie in close consultation with board member Stephan Wilinski. Based on key figures, socio-economic cause-and-effect chains were developed here, which provide the management from Herrnhut with important information for sensible courses of action and strategies for managing their facilities. The differentiated application of such control mechanisms in the social economy is new and this is precisely where the FHN Social Management degree programme comes in with this first basic building block for diaconia. The focus was on the overall facility as well as the elderly care, disabled care and boarding school areas. The project was supported by the ADDISON sales centre in Berlin, a large accounting, cost accounting and controlling software company. Managing Director Bernd Kutz now wants to gradually integrate the results into the company's programme structure. To this end, co-operation with the FHN is to be intensified.
