The honourees include Anja Wagner, who works as a laboratory engineer in the Department of Engineering and at the Resource Institute Nordhausen (ResIn). Since March 2001, she has characterised the day-to-day work in teaching and practice with great commitment and expertise. Her professional background includes training as a chemical laboratory assistant and, parallel to her professional activities, she successfully completed a correspondence course in environmental engineering, specialising in technical environmental protection. In addition to numerous laboratory internships, she is also involved in co-operation with schools and the Thüringer Studienkolleg.

Also honoured were Anja Arlet, who also works as a laboratory engineer in the Department of Engineering and at the ResIn. She supervises a large number of internships, including in materials engineering, mechanical and chemical process engineering and environmental analysis. She is also involved in various university committees, including the Staff Council, the Examination and Health and Safety Committee and the Integration Team. She also contributes her expertise as a juror at „Jugend forscht“.

The third jubilarian, Christine Röll, is a lecturer for special tasks at the university's Language Centre. In her courses in English and Spanish, she not only teaches specialised language skills, but also strengthens students' intercultural communication skills - a key competence in an increasingly globally networked working world. She is highly committed to supporting students in their language development and thus makes an important contribution to the international orientation of the university.

„Long-standing employees are the backbone of our university. Their knowledge, experience and commitment contribute significantly to the quality of teaching, research and organisation,“ emphasised University President Prof. Dr Jörg Wagner.

Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences would like to thank them for their commitment and looks forward to working with them in the future.
