A vibrant city thrives on committed citizens. In order to strengthen volunteering in Nordhausen, social management students have undertaken something special as part of their theory-practice project. They are planning to set up a volunteer agency and are inviting Nordhausen organisations and associations to an initial networking meeting to clarify the needs and opportunities for volunteering in the city.

The prospective social managers recognise the great potential of students for voluntary work and at the same time want to make it easier for newcomers to access existing structures. The establishment of a volunteer agency could play an important role here by creating a platform for exchange between organisations/associations and volunteers.

The Thuringian Volunteer Foundation has been supporting and accompanying the establishment of new volunteer agencies in the Free State for many years and will also be present at the networking meeting.

The students are delighted about the interest and participation of all Nordhausen organisations and associations in the networking meeting on 22.06.2023 at 2 p.m. at the Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. Registration is requested. If you have any questions or are interested, please send an e-mail to .

The students are firmly convinced that volunteering in Nordhausen can make a major contribution to the lively and diverse development of the city. Together with Nordhausen's organisations and associations, they want to set the course for the successful establishment of a volunteer agency and thus make a valuable contribution to the community.
