How will we work tomorrow? What energy will drive us in the future? And how can change succeed in companies, administrations and social organisations? The "Ask the Professor" discussion format focuses on the audience's questions - compact, understandable and right on campus.

On Saturday, 24 May, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences invites you to think, ask questions and exchange ideas as part of the Open Day and the Long Night of Science. The new "Ask the Professor" format makes science tangible and personal. Visitors can talk directly to professors in the Transferwerk's mobile showroom on the library forecourt (next to Building 18).

"Ask the Prof" is an open discussion format in half-hour sessions. Our scientists bring along an exciting question from their area of specialisation - and look forward to your questions. First there's a brief introduction to the topic, then it's your turn: ask, join in, be curious. Without any specialised vocabulary, but with plenty of knowledge to take away.

The programme starts at 15:00 and ends at 19:30. The topics and times at a glance:

15:00 - 15:30
"What conditions are crucial for the establishment of a circular economy?"
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Wudtke

16:00 - 16:30
"Artificial intelligence: (How) will we work in the future?"
Prof Dr Lutz Göcke

17:00 - 17:30
"What will our future energy supply look like - and what can I do about it?"
Prof. Dr Viktor Wesselak

18:00 - 18:30
"Wind power in the forest - is it necessary?"
Dr Pascal Leibbrandt

18:30 - 19:00
"How can change processes in companies, administrations and social institutions be mastered?"
Prof Dr Steffen Dörhöfer

19:00 - 19:30
"The alchemy of the energy transition: Power-to-X"
Prof. Dr Sebastian Voswinkel

"Ask the Prof" is part of a varied programme for the whole family. The "Open Day" starts at 14:00 with information about studying, campus tours and hands-on activities. The Long Night of Science begins at 18:00, bringing research to life - with experiments, lectures and open labs.

It's worth a visit - for prospective students, technology enthusiasts and anyone who wants to take a look behind the scenes of science and higher education. Participation is free of charge and registration is not required. We look forward to seeing you!
