Co-operation between schools and universities in the field of engineering is to be intensified, especially in view of the increasing environmental problems. For this reason, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences and the Elly-Heuss-Knapp School in Neumünster want to work closely together in future.

The common goal is to improve pupils' decision-making skills when choosing a course of study or career and to increase pupils' interest in science and technology lessons. In addition, they are to be made aware of the prospect of studying science and technology by offering study counselling.

Other focal points of future co-operation are

  • exploring the engineering faculty at HSN and its possibilities through optional participation in lectures and internships,
  • an insight into the professional world of science and engineering with a clear application focus,
  • information about the degree programmes offered at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences,
  • joint public appearances, trade fair presentations, workshops, publications
  • and the use of premises and technical laboratory equipment.
