Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences can look back on two extremely successful study orientation days. At the end of January, the university opened its doors to numerous pupils from regional secondary schools, who showed great interest and enthusiasm for the wide range of study options and campus life.

The study orientation days offered participants a varied programme with practical workshops, exciting lectures and interactive insights into various subject areas. A wide range of workshops were offered, such as "Marketing is more than advertising", "From an idea to your own start-up in an hour" and "How will we heat tomorrow?". Technical experiments and social science discussions were also very popular. In addition, topics from the social sector were also represented, such as "Early intervention - support for children and families" and "Social work meets health", which met with great interest. In the field of economics, the workshop "Economic efficiency calculation in public administration" offered practical insights into decision-making based on real-life examples.

A special highlight was the seminar subject exchange in the Audimax, where regional companies presented their work and provided valuable insights into professional fields. The students took the opportunity not only to gather information, but also to directly collect ideas for their seminar topics. The personal dialogue with lecturers, students and university staff also provided a valuable opportunity to clarify any unanswered questions and get a realistic picture of what studying at the university is like.

In addition to the content of the programme, the guests had the opportunity to experience everyday life at the university and to talk to students in a relaxed atmosphere. The lunch sponsored by Kreissparkasse Nordhausen in the canteen was also enthusiastically received and provided an opportunity for further discussions. The feedback from the participants was consistently positive: many reported that the two days had given them valuable orientation for their choice of degree programme. Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is delighted with the high level of interest and is already planning the next study orientation days.
