This event, organised and offered by the newly founded "Institute for Computer Science, Automation and Electronics" (IAE)is primarily aimed at students from the field of computer science.

Thanks to the long-standing cooperation with the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in Berlin, it was possible to recruit lecturers from there, supported by a lecturer from the Dresden University of Applied Sciences.

As part of the new course, students learn about satellites, sensors and camera technology, generate and analyse images, create surface models and use data from the Landsat satellite system.

"I am delighted that this interesting event has come about and would like to thank my external colleagues for their support," said the coordinator of the event, Prof Dr Matthias Viehmann from the FHN.
