Prof Dr Buschmann has extensive clinical-psychological and scientific expertise: After studying psychology in Marburg, she worked for many years at the Social Paediatric Centre at Heidelberg University Hospital. From 2009 to 2015, she headed the Heidelberg Early Intervention Centre. In 2015, she founded the ZEL Centre for Development and Learning in Heidelberg. She completed her doctorate at the University of Frankfurt in 2009.

She also held a professorship in developmental psychology specialising in language at the Heidelberg University of Education. Her professional career has been characterised by a deep commitment to early language support and the development of practical concepts - such as the Heidelberg Parent Training for Late Talkers (HET Late Talkers) or the Heidelberg Interaction Training (HIT) for educational professionals.

In Nordhausen, Prof. Dr Buschmann is also taking on the role of course director for the Master's degree programme "Early Intervention and Inclusion". She brings with her not only sound experience, but also a network of research and practice that will strengthen the degree programme in the long term.

"My aim is to sensitise students to the relevance of early intervention and to enable them to support children and families based on evidence and with heart," emphasises Prof. Dr Anke Buschmann.
