Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences welcomes Prof Dr Louisa Sophie Arnold as a new professor in the field of "Early Help / Early Intervention". University President Prof. Dr Jörg Wagner signed the contract with the dedicated scientist on 28 March, who will help shape and further develop teaching, research and practice transfer in the field of early intervention.

Prof Dr Arnold studied psychology after graduating from high school and completed her doctorate at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. She then worked at the FernUniversität in Hagen in the field of health psychology before moving to the IB Hochschule Berlin as a professor. Her expertise in developmental and family psychology and early childhood development makes her a valuable addition to the Department of Business, Economics and Social Sciences at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences.

"With Prof Dr Arnold, we are gaining a proven expert in the field of early intervention, whose interdisciplinary background and practical experience will further sharpen our profile and open up new perspectives for students," said University President Prof Dr Jörg Wagner.

Prof Dr Louisa Sophie Arnold is also looking forward to her new role with great anticipation: "Early help makes a key contribution to equal opportunities growing up - I'm really looking forward to working with the students on practical concepts for sustainable support for families," says Prof Dr Louisa Sophie Arnold.

With the new professorship, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is further expanding its commitment in the field of social sciences and health promotion.
