Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is ready to welcome you despite the unfavourable weather forecast. On 1 June 2024, we will be opening our doors from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and invite all interested parties to experience an exciting day at our university. Don't be put off by the weather forecast - we have taken extensive precautions to ensure that you can enjoy an informative and entertaining day even if it rains.

Our extensive indoor activities and events in the lecture halls, seminar rooms and laboratories guarantee that the programme can take place in full even in bad weather. All programme items that were planned outdoors have simply been moved indoors. You will find all the information stands for our degree programmes, our university institutions and all our partners on Saturday in the Audimax and in House 19. In addition, the institutes and laboratories on the entire campus will of course also be open for you.

Here are some of the highlights that await you:

• Indoor activities: Many exciting programme items and demonstrations are offered in our modern lecture halls and laboratories. You can find out about the various degree programmes and research focuses at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences.
• Weather-protected catering: Our canteen is available all day so that you can eat in a cosy atmosphere. In addition, the Karzer student club in House 8 offers drinks and coffee as well as an ice cream van for sweet refreshments.
• Laboratory tours and demonstrations: Experience fascinating insights into our research projects and laboratory work. These take place throughout the day in our laboratories.

In addition to these activities, we offer a variety of information stands, lectures and workshops that will give you a comprehensive insight into campus life and the study opportunities at HSN:

• Campus tours: Our students will guide you through the various buildings and facilities of the university so that you can get an authentic impression of everyday student life. Just take an umbrella with you as a precaution.
• Lectures and workshops: From current scientific challenges to practical insights into research - our programme is varied and exciting.
• Information stands: Throughout the day, our stands will provide information about the various degree programmes and services offered by the university. You will have the opportunity to talk to students and lecturers and obtain information material.

Further attractions

• For our young guests, the school research centre offers exciting activities in the experiment room, which can also be carried out in the dry when it rains.
• Our indoor sports hall is available for ball sports tournaments and you can test your dexterity and strength on the Techniker Krankenkasse climbing wall.

Campus party - an unforgettable evening

The day ends with the traditional campus party, which starts at 18:00. Enjoy a colourful music and entertainment programme with various bands and DJs. Bring the evening to a convivial close with drinks and snacks.
