Only around 5 per cent of all companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland receive this award. On the independent review platform kununu, applicants and employees anonymously rated the university as above average in the industry in various categories. In particular, the flexible working hours, friendly colleagues, numerous health measures and family-centred approach were rated positively.

In its role as an employer, such a good rating is unique in the Nordhausen region and indicates a steady improvement in working conditions. Word is getting around; the university is receiving more and more applications based on recommendations from within its own ranks and unsolicited applications.

With around 300 employees, the university offers career prospects in a wide variety of areas and itself acts as a driving force for skilled labour in the region with over 30 study and further education programmes.
