ALL STUDY PROGRAMMES AT A GLANCE, FIRST-HAND ADVICE AND FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
In the afternoon, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences invites you to get to know the range of study programmes up close at its Open Day: from laboratory tours and informative lectures to numerous workshops covering science, technology, society and sustainability - visitors can gain an insight into practical training and innovative research. Students and lecturers will be on hand to answer questions and talk about their everyday lives.
All of the university's degree programmes - from engineering, IT and business to environment, health, social and administrative sciences - will be presented at the open day. Students and lecturers will provide personal insights, talk about everyday life at the university and answer questions. The Student Service Centre will be on site with an information stand and will provide advice on all topics relating to applications, starting your studies and organisation.
A colourful children's programme with experiment stations, craft activities, face painting, slackline and barefoot trail ensures that even the youngest guests get their money's worth. Campus tours offer the opportunity to explore lecture theatres, laboratories, the library and institutes, while parents can get advice from the International Office, the student union or at the numerous information stands. And, of course, there will also be plenty to eat and drink: The canteen is open and there are snacks and ice creams on offer.
WHEN SCIENCE COMES ALIVE
The Long Night of Science begins at 6 p.m. - and turns Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences into a venue for discoveries, surprising insights and exciting encounters.
The diverse programme spans a broad spectrum of technology, natural sciences, society, health, digitalisation and innovation. Visitors can look forward to fascinating insights into current research projects, exciting presentations on future topics and impressive demonstrations. Whether it's about drones and space travel, battery technologies, artificial intelligence, sustainable raw material supply or the world of start-ups - here it becomes clear how close science is to life.
It's not just about marvelling, but also about understanding and exchanging ideas. Scientists, students and guests engage in dialogue, share ideas and show how clever minds and creative approaches can lead to solutions for tomorrow.
The mixture of in-depth information and lively presentations is a particular attraction: From an air show with miniature aeroplanes to tastings in the sensory laboratory and exciting food for thought from society, technology and the environment, there is something for everyone.
The Long Night of Science invites you to let yourself go, discover new things, ask questions - and perhaps go home with a completely new view of the world. True to the motto: "Discover. Marvel. Join in."
