The employees of the Innovation Centre for Recyclable Materials (ThIWert) took the opportunity of a joint team building event to support the reforestation of the Thuringian Forest.

On the morning of 14 October, the trees donated by (ThIWert) were planted on an area that had been cleared and infested by the bark beetle. In future, instead of the previous spruce monoculture, various deciduous trees such as oaks, wild fruit varieties and wild service trees will ensure sustainable and climate-resistant new growth. The 250 or so trees were planted with a lot of fun, teamwork and friendly autumn weather, and at the same time protected from browsing by so-called sleeves.

Afterwards, drinks and game goulash were served at the campfire as refreshments after the work was done. A great, unifying day in a cheerful atmosphere that not only strengthened team spirit in the short term, but will hopefully also bear fruit in the long term - in the truest sense of the word.
