On 22 February 2023, the conference "Early help and early intervention - hand in hand?" will take place at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. The aim of the event is to focus on the topic of "Early help and early intervention" and to emphasise the importance of early support services for children and families.

The patrons of this symposium were Minister Heike Werner (TMASGFF) and Minister Helmut Holter (TMBJS).

The conference provides a platform for experts from various fields to discuss current developments, challenges and best practices in the field of early help and early intervention. The event is aimed at professionals from the health, education and social services sectors as well as interested students, parents and educators.

The conference agenda includes presentations by renowned experts. Prof. Dr Thyen, Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of the Federal Foundation for Early Intervention and the National Centre for Early Intervention, and Prof. Dr Sohns, Head of the model project "Inclusive Early Intervention", will each provide scientific impetus in the morning with a presentation followed by a discussion.

Moderated workshops will be offered in the afternoon. Topics such as the importance of both support systems for families in special circumstances, cooperation between professionals and implementation in practice will be addressed and discussed together.
