Prof Dr Stefan Zahradnik, an expert in public business administration and legislation, presents practical solutions for linguistic equality in legal and administrative texts in his book "Gender-equitable legal and administrative language". A guide for practitioners and students that promotes comprehensible and accepted formulations in public communication.

The question of how gender-equitable language can be introduced into legal norms and administrative documents without compromising readability, acceptance and comprehensibility has been around for a long time. Prof Dr Stefan Zahradnik, Professor of Public Economics and Lawmaking at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, addresses this challenge in his new book "Gender-equitable legal and administrative language".

The book is aimed at practitioners in administration and legislation as well as students preparing for a career in the public sector. The aim of the book is to show how linguistic equality can be implemented in administration and legislation - in an understandable, practical and legally compliant way.

In his book, Prof Zahradnik presents a detailed evaluation of different writing styles and their possible applications. Based on practical examples from municipal codes, higher education laws and building codes of various federal states, approaches are compared and concrete suggestions for improvement are presented. The work also contains a comprehensive collection of the relevant federal and state regulations on gender-equitable language, which provide valuable practical guidance.

The book "Geschlechtergerechte Rechts- und Verwaltungssprache" is available in three versions: hardcover (ISBN 978-9-4037-6209-8), softcover (ISBN 978-9-4037-6211-1) and as a study edition in a handy paperback format (ISBN 979-8-3406-0720-1).
