On 2 May, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences awarded certificates to two deserving employees on the occasion of their service anniversaries. The certificates were presented by President Prof Dr Jörg Wagner.

25th anniversary of service:

Prof. Dr Stefan Zahradnik, who has held the Chair of Public Business Administration, in particular Management of Public Services, since 2004, was honoured for his achievements and many years of loyalty to the university. Prof Zahradnik, who began his academic career at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and subsequently worked for Wetteraukreis and Oberhessische Versorgungsbetriebe AG, has rendered outstanding services through his commitment to teaching and research and in particular through his activities in various administrative roles, such as Vice President for Studies and Teaching from 2006 to 2009 and Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences since 2013, as well as his tireless efforts to reduce bureaucracy. Since December 2023, he has been the honorary chairman of the Thuringian Regulatory Control Council, a body of experts that advises and supports the state government in avoiding bureaucracy, reducing bureaucracy and improving legislation.

25th anniversary of service:

Sabine Wolff, who works at the Staatliches Studienkolleg Nordhausen and plays an important role in the development and management of the German as a Foreign Language/German as a Second Language department, was also honoured. Ms Wolff, who completed her training at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, is also active as Chair of the Academic Association and has distinguished herself through her pedagogical expertise and commitment.

"With Ms Wolff and Prof. Dr Zahradnik, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences has two committed lecturers who have actively contributed to further developing the university's good reputation and making the university known nationally and internationally," emphasised University President Prof. Dr Jörg Wagner.
