Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences and Škoda Autohaus Liebe from Sangerhausen have signed a cooperation agreement to organise a practice-oriented course of study. The aim of the co-operation is to link studies and company practice more closely and to give students an early insight into real work processes.

As part of the co-operation, both partners will work closely together in the training of junior staff in future. Students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience directly in the company - for example through internships, project work or final theses. In doing so, they work on specific tasks from the company's day-to-day operations and apply their knowledge from their studies directly.

Collaboration is not only conceptualised in theory, but also made tangible in everyday student life. Flexible models - such as the use of lecture-free periods or the integration of Bachelor's theses - create a close link between practice and study. Students can get involved at an early stage, take on responsibility and thus gain valuable experience for their future careers. At the same time, the co-operation opens up clear perspectives and helps students to gain a stronger financial and professional orientation during their studies.

„It is a great advantage for our students to be able to work on real projects and issues from practice while they are still studying,“ says Prof Dr Jörg Wagner, President of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. „Such collaborations help to prepare for the transition to a career and gain important experience.“

Škoda Autohaus Liebe sees the collaboration as an opportunity to come into contact with qualified young talent at an early stage. „We want to show students how varied and practical the work in our company is,“ explains Managing Director Johannes Peckruhn. „At the same time, we benefit from new ideas and perspectives from the university.“

Another special aspect of the partnership is the joint commitment to strengthening the region in the long term. The cooperation makes it possible to introduce current topics and impulses from the business world directly into the university and develop them further together.

With this cooperation, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is strengthening its close links with regional companies and helping to retain and train skilled workers in the region. At the same time, students are given the opportunity to organise their studies with a practical orientation right from the start and develop career prospects at an early stage.
