Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is further expanding its cooperation with the regional economy: A cooperation agreement has been signed with AHN Biotechnologie GmbH for the implementation of a practice-oriented degree programme. The cooperation focuses in particular on the Digital Product Management degree programme. The aim is to give students an early insight into real business processes and prepare them specifically for activities at the interface of technology, business and digitalisation.

The collaboration includes internships, project work and the supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses in a corporate context. Students work on specific practical issues - such as developing and enhancing digital products, analysing user requirements or implementing data-based business models. At the same time, companies benefit from the latest scientific findings and direct access to qualified young talent.

„The combination of studies and business practice is a crucial component in preparing students optimally for their future tasks,“ explains Prof Dr Jörg Wagner, President of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. „Practical experience is particularly important in digital product management because technical development, economic decisions and user perspectives interact closely here.“

AHN Biotechnologie GmbH also sees great potential in the cooperation. „We want to show students at an early stage how digital product development works in day-to-day business - from the idea to the market launch,“ says Torsten Buchwald, Managing Director of the company. „At the same time, we gain insights into new approaches and ways of thinking from the university.“

In addition to training students, long-term collaboration in research and teaching is also planned. This includes joint research projects and the development of practical topics for final theses. A particular focus here is on combining digital technologies with industrial applications and innovation processes.

The cooperation not only strengthens the Digital Product Management degree programme, but also the regional networking of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences with companies. It thus contributes to securing skilled labour and to the further development of innovative solutions in business and society.
