On 8 August, sports enthusiasts from the region showed that team spirit, fair play and good humour can take centre stage at the "Play and Talk '25" leisure tournament on the sports field at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences.

In the best summer weather, mixed leisure teams competed against each other in exciting football and volleyball matches. Whether a club team or a colourful mixed group - the participants worked together to create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in which exercise and fun were the top priorities.

A highlight of the evening was the award ceremony followed by an after-show party, where DJ MichaBeats provided a lively atmosphere until late in the evening. Under the motto "Play hard. Talk loud. Party harder.", guests and players celebrated the sporting day together.

The event was organised by Kreissportbund Nordhausen e.V. in collaboration with the Nordhausen University Social Work Department. With "Play and Talk", a format has been established that brings people of all ages and fitness levels together in a relaxed atmosphere as part of the "Sport in the Park" event series - without any pressure to perform and completely free of charge.

"We are delighted with the positive response. The event has shown how sport can build bridges and connect people," said the organisers.
