In the medium and long term, the establishment of a joint study programme and joint research activities are planned.

The state university primarily offers engineering, natural sciences and economics courses and is characterised by a unity of research and teaching. It is funded and supported by the Vietnamese government, the state of Hesse, the federal government and the DAAD, among others.
