Strategy meeting on the future of the North Thuringia region by retaining school leavers at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences

HSN President Prof. Dr Jörg Wagner, Marcel Kübler from the North Thuringian Business Association, Karsten Froböse, Head of the Nordhausen Employment Agency, Frank Seiler, Managing Director of Firmenausbildungsverbund Nordhüringen e.V., Oliver Wönnmann, Managing Director of Feuer powerair, Mr Trump, Deputy Headmaster of Herder-Gymnasium and Mr Kittlaus from the State Education Authority at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences recently met to find a way of better communicating what the North Thuringia region has to offer school leavers.

The first step is to take stock of the reasons why graduates leave the region. They may go on to study or train in other regions of Germany, which they could have done in North Thuringia. All secondary schools in North Thuringia are cordially invited to cooperate.

The focus was on communicating the region's potential more intensively to school leavers with a view to studying and training. Successful entrepreneurs and employees in companies should also act as brand ambassadors and show pupils that our region has a lot to offer.
