In the laboratory for applied microbiology, the biological principles and recognised working techniques of a modern microbiological laboratory are taught. Based on a comprehensive introduction to the biology of bacteria and fungi, the techniques and methods of microscopy, sterile work, cultivation as well as the isolation and identification of microorganisms can be successively dealt with theoretically and practically.
Credit points are earned for successfully completed coursework and examinations in accordance with the "European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System" (ECTS).
The ECTS points reflect the average learning effort. One ECTS point corresponds to 30 hours of study.
Based on the ECTS points, the study and examination achievements are internationally comparable.
