When you are studying International Business at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, you are opting for an internationally oriented and practice-oriented education with interdisciplinary specializations. General higher education entrance qualification, subject-linked university entrance qualification, university of applied sciences entrance qualification, passing of an entrance examination, successful completion of a craftsman‘s examination or successful completion of an advanced training or education programme equivalent to a craftsman‘s examination as certified technician or business economist.
Internship prior to enrolment
The application period for this degree course runs from May 15th to September 30th.
Start of study
The regular start of study is winter semester. This does not apply to students who are already enrolled at HS Nordhausen in another degree course, or to those pursuing an equivalent degree programme at another university and aiming to continue their study at HSN in an advanced semester.
A first semester start in summer semester is only possible, if a qualification in business prior to the study has already been passing on fundamental knowledge of business administration. In this case the decision upon the admission is at the discretion of the course’s examinations board.
Mainly German combined with some modules in English
After completing your bachelor's degree, you can directly enter international working life. Potential employers are international companies from industry and the service sector. Non-profit organizations, such as international aid organizations and public institutions, are also looking for graduates of the Bachelor degree course in International Business. To study International Business at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, you need a general university entrance qualification, subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or an equivalent recognized degree.
The Bachelor degree course International Business is divided into two halves:
- The first half of study covers the first three semesters and consists of compulsory subjects. These provide sound business fundamentals.
- The second half of the course, which covers the 4th to 6th semester, includes a practical internship in the 5th semester. There, the students implement their previously acquired knowledge in business practice. In the 3rd, 4th and 6th semester students will take their regular courses apart from their electives and complete their studies with a bachelor thesis and a bachelor's colloquium.
