I like the family environment at the university. Professors and lecturers know you by name and even the canteen staff know what my favourite side dish is on schnitzel day. My degree programme (Health and Social Work, 5th semester) offers me a huge range of future employment opportunities. I can gain a foothold in almost any social organisation later on. But the healthcare sector also has a number of opportunities in store for me. I think hardly any other degree programme is so universal.

What's really cool is that we are a small HS. This means we have to be specialists in many areas and familiarise ourselves with a lot of new areas. This is challenging and varied. The diversity is not only reflected in the interculturality but also in the activities.

As a student, I particularly appreciated the practical approach to teaching and the personal dialogue at eye level with the professors - you were always supported and taken seriously. At the same time, the green campus with its pond, bees and squirrels offers a really pleasant learning atmosphere.

Today - as a research assistant in the „QUANT-GPICz“ project and hike - I particularly enjoy the open, friendly team spirit and the short distances across the campus, which make everyday working life uncomplicated. I deal with new topics every day and learn a lot of new things.

As an international student, I truly value studying Renewable Energy Systems at Hochschule Nordhausen for its application-oriented curriculum and its welcoming, multicultural academic environment. The combination of practical learning and cultural diversity makes the experience both professionally enriching and personally meaningful.

ERT taught me to see recycling as a real system materials, processes, and quality. The programme gave me practical engineering thinking that I applied directly in my industry thesis on advanced aerosol recycling in the Netherlands.

What I love most about Nordhausen University is the incredibly peaceful environment and the high quality of our experienced, professional faculty. Beyond the classroom, the ‚International Get-together‘ events have been a highlight for me, offering a wonderful way to learn about other cultures, while the university mess provides excellent service that makes campus life even better.

The Master's degree programme in Industrial Engineering and Management at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is super flexible and really fun. The lectures and seminars are varied, the lecturers are committed and totally approachable. In addition, there is a well-kept campus where you simply feel at home.

What sort of building can you see there? 🏢The university’s old logo – back when it was still known as Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences – can no longer be found on any building on campus. And the blue-framed windows are also a thing of the past on our campus. 🕰️Judging by the surroundings, there’s really only one building that fits the description: that’s right, Building 19! ✅The photo shows the building before its extensive refurbishment, which was completed in 2022. It was not only modernised on the outside, but also made more energy-efficient. 🏗️Thanks to the new technical facilities, the building now offers ideal conditions for online, face-to-face and hybrid teaching, and thus the best possible environment for lecturers and students. The central lecture theatre block houses two lecture theatres, seminar rooms, computer labs and language labs. Outside the lecture theatres and down in the foyer, seating areas invite you to relax, chat and linger. Do you enjoy spending time in Building 19?
