Seven Erlenmeyer flasks with black caps are placed next to each other on a laboratory bench. The flasks contain liquids of different greenish colours, which indicate different concentrations or reactions. Each flask is labelled by hand with a number.

Room:House 25, Room 25.-0020
Internship:Biological process engineering

Equipment

The laboratory's equipment enables the investigation of biological processes in complex plants (partly on a pilot plant scale). It is possible to develop, test and optimise technologies in wastewater treatment, biological soil remediation, composting, fermentation and the landfill behaviour of waste.

  • Laboratory wastewater treatment plants up to 5 litres
  • Membrane bioreactor (30 litres)
  • Fixed-bed reactors up to 5 litres
  • Modular fermentation system (5 litres)
  • Landfill simulation reactors (30 litres)
  • Percolation reactors
  • Solid biosimulators with gas analysis
  • Anaerobic fermenter with gas analysis
  • Modular respiration measurement system
  • Photometer
  • Laboratory centrifuge
  • Thermostat cabinets
  • Phytoremediation field
  • Constructed wetland (45 square metres)
