The laboratory is equipped with 64bit computer workstations and a 3D printer (FDM, SLA) as well as 3D scanner technology. It offers 12 students at a time the opportunity to learn applied software solutions from various engineering disciplines in the fields of design, advanced strength of materials (FEM), plant and apparatus engineering, fluid dynamics (CFD), virtual prototyping, geotechnics and geoinformation systems.

The latest version of the software is available:

  • Autodesk Inventor and CAD
  • ANSYS WORKBENCH (MECHANICAL; DISCOVERY; FLUENT, ROCKY)
  • ANSYS GRANTA Edupack
  • Star CCM
  • ARTEC STUDIO
  • Grainsoft PMPcompact (software for mechanical process engineering)
