Summary of the project

The Female Professors Programme 2030 is a joint federal and state funding programme that aims to further strengthen gender equality at universities and sustainably increase the proportion of women in professorships.

Universities can receive funding if they present a convincing gender equality concept that includes structural measures to achieve parity. The funding enables, among other things, the financing of professorships that are filled by women, as well as accompanying measures to promote the careers of female academics.

Particularly successful universities are also honoured with the โ€žUniversity with Strong Gender Equalityโ€œ award. This award recognises an above-average commitment to gender equality and opens up extended funding opportunities, in particular to support young female academics on their way to a professorship.
