As a public corporation, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences organises itself within the framework of self-administration. Important decisions are made in the democratically elected university committees. As part of the committee elections, you can stand as a candidate for a committee yourself, support the election committee and/or cast your vote. You will be informed of upcoming elections in good time by e-mail. Feel invited to play an active role in shaping university life! The Faculty Councils of Engineering and Business, Economics and Social Sciences represent the interests of the members of their faculty. Their core tasks include, for example, electing the dean, passing resolutions on study and examination regulations and passing resolutions on appointment proposals for professorships
The University Assembly is the central collegial body of the university and fulfils the tasks incumbent on a council, senate or board of trustees in accordance with the ThรผrHG. It is the highest body of academic self-administration at the university. It is made up of the voting members of university lecturers, students, employees, a representative of the Ministry and four external persons familiar with the university system. It advises on the development of the university's profile and the prioritisation of research. Its main tasks include the election and dismissal of the President and Chancellor. It also decides on the structural and development plans and their updating. The University Assembly meets at least once a year.
