General higher education entrance qualification, subject-linked university entrance qualification, university of applied sciences entrance qualification, passing of an entrance examination, successful completion of a craftsman‘s examination or successful completion of an advanced training or education programme equivalent to a craftsman‘s examination as certified technician or business economist.
Internship prior to enrolment
In order to enrol, a qualification in the pedagogic, social or medical field is required or an internship prior to enrolment in a pedagogic, social or nursing organisation of at least twelve weeks of duration.
The application period for this degree programme runs from May 15th to July 15th. Studies can be started every winter semester.

For the coming years, there is a significant increase in demand for services by qualified health professionals. After completing the degree course in Health and Social Services graduates are qualified for all social work fields in health and social care settings and institutions. The degree course prepares them for work in outpatient, semi-stationary and inpatient health and social care institutions, such as Hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, counseling centers and providers of child and youth services.

In Health and Social Services, students learn in small groups with individual care. In addition to a good scientific qualification, we attach great importance to the development of your personal communication and reflection skills, as these are your essential working tools in later practice. Within and outside the degree course, there are numerous initiatives that will diversify your studies and your free time.
In addition to lectures and seminars, you will also have the opportunity to participate in various projects (service learning projects, theory-practice projects, foreign projects). Furthermore, we offer you several specializations. An important part of the degree course is the internship in the fifth semester.
