Traveling the world and getting a taste of working life at the same time? Experience everyday life in another country and improve your language skills? It is possible with a training period abroad!
Who can do that? In accordance with the examination and study regulations of the University of Applied Sciences Nordhausen, students of all study programs can complete a practical semester, practice-related study periods or thesis abroad. (Exception: In the Bachelor program Public Management the first internship has to be completed in Germany.) In addition, there is the possibility to complete a training period for graduates right after finishing your studies.
Where can I go? It is your task to find a place for your internship. Call friends and family members, read the campus notices and browse the internet to find interesting job offers. Some tips can be found in number 11 of the Steps to a Training Abroad.
How should I pay this? There are several ways to get financial support for a training period abroad. Detailed information can be found on the Funding page.
When should I start to organise my stay? In order to realise your dream of a training period abroad, you should start as early as possible. If you would like to know exactly what you should do and when, look at the Steps to a Training Abroad.
During the semester, information events on study and internship abroad take place regularly on Wednesdays at 18:00h in Building 8 (Room 08.0115). Students who have spent a study or training period abroad talk about their experiences. Take the chance and get first-hand information! More information will be posted on campus and by e-mail.
